Hi

I am a new member having joined this site this week follwoing the childish demise of Radiocontrolmodelboats  <:(.

I built my first boat, a Caldercraft Puffer, nearly 20 years ago and this is still going strong as per pics below which were taken this month. I have also built the Talacre for a mate 18 years ago and he has only just got round to getting me to fit RC, again there is a pic or tow below. Finally I am "tidying" up a model of the Waverley which was not RC but now is! I live in Welshpool in Mid Wales and whilst we have a canal which is suotable to sail on, we do not have a model boat club.

There is a model boat club very close to you, Mid Wales Model Boat Club, they attend shows local to Welshpool and Newtown and they will be at the Welshpool Air Show in July.
