I am considering buying a Graupner New Castle tug. How does it's quality compare to other Graupner tugs such as the Ares 3 , Tito Neri, and little Southhamton tugs please?
I own a Graupner Ares 3 and was consdiering a New Castle as well. Many thanks.

Hi my brother has a Newcastle that he has modified slightly, but the quality is very good apart from the handrails and little bits that are made of plastic ,that get knocked when moving the boat around, But he is very pleased with it and it is pretty good value.

Tugmaid. Thanks for your input. How does the New Castle compare with the Graupner Ares 3 tug in terms of operation and construction. I have the opportunity to buy the New Castle at $425.00 and the Ares 3 at $400.00, both new. Basically, I am curious how will the New Castle pulls a 4 foot scale barge and separately how it would manuever through a navigational course.
Cheers,
Bruce

Hello again the New castle has only one propellor and a single rudder no kort nozzle so she steers like any single screw boat ok ahead and CrXp going astern . she has ample power if you want to tow at scale speeds and not dash about as though you have 4,000 horse power. Geo

She can tow this 15 ft beast around.
