If you are wanting to watch all the Formula 1 races in the years 2012 to 2018 you will now have to subscribe to Sky, as the BBC and Sky are sharing the telvision rights for those years. They will each show half the races though the BBC will show highlights of Sky's coverage. >>:-( <*< >>:-( <*<

As I sit here watching the live timing on F1.com as there is no coverage of any of the practice sessions

This is one of the areas the BBC wanted to save money, they reckon it costs £60million a year. Not a happy bunny i'll have to subscribe to sky sports to watch the whole season.

I haven't been able to drum up much enthusiasm for F1 this season. I'm not sure why, but it doesn't seem as exciting as it used to be - Germany excepted of course. I guess I won't be subscribing to Sky. :((

Poison Dwarf strikes again. Perhaps payback on the Beeb for what they've done to MotoGP? We have to wait untill after the race has been run live to get a decent commentary. Et Tu Bernie.

SIMPLES!!!! I just won't watch it........rather watch BTCC and Moto GP anytime anyway...plus I'll get out more on a sunday to sail my models, O0 O0 {-) {-) {-) {-) {-) {-)

The current F1 cars seem so far removed from road cars that I find it hard to relate to them, with their silly aerodnamics and barmy token green attempts..There also seems to be a complete lack of any real sense of danger...
I only watch bike racing nowadays...Those guy are really brave and earn every penny they are paid...
I agree about BBC motor Gp coverage.. Although commenter Steve Parrish is an ex bike racer, he seems totally out of touch with the modern racers and bikes.

My view as well. A few weeks ago it was the Tour de France or F1, TdF straight away, especially as I'd been watching it for 3 weeks. This will be the death knell for F1 especially given the current hatred for Mr Murdoch. It will also be interesting seeing what the F1 advertisers feel about the fewer viewers.

Here in Finland the race is shown live on MTV max (Pay channel) but is then shown straight after on MTV3 (free channel) both are owned by the same comapny and the program is exactly the same just a few hours later

If you can get Internet TV, go to Sport1.de, they broadcast , live, all the Training runs, also the Quali and Race with about 2 hours delay.

I can live without F1 live - the highlights are all you need because most of the races are so boring and i want better value for my license fee - I don't approve of it all going to the dwarf. Bring on the documentaries on T34 tanks, I say. (and moto GP, but I do miss Suzy.)

:-) LOL but welcome to the real world. thats the only way we have been able to watch it for years now. i got to admit though the coverage is far better than when we had it on free to air tv. and no add breaks or at least very few, usually when the race is behind the safety car. i dont know how they work it but we get mr coulthard's etc commentaries (i presume thats the BBC) but not the pre or post race shows and quite often when the after race comments are on they get interrupted for the driver interviews. still not bad for sky ...i better stop here...dont get me started on skytv

The "Split" has come at the right time for me as the Beebs one sided jaundiced commentaries of a twice removed World Champion seems more important than accurately reporting the facts and the whole programme seems to be "The Lewy Show". I was even cheering Webber on this weekend.
The sooner Brit Eurosport get back FULL MotoGP coverage the better, BBC sport will then become a distant memory on our TV.

Possibly a chance for your local pub to promote a seasons F1 races.
Sit with like minded people and enjoy a pint as well.

With the great God Football 24/7/365, that's NEVER going to happen. {-) and the fact that Supermarkets have been allowed to ruin the licensing trade, there aren't that many pubs left open.
