This looks very good, well done. how long has it taken you to date?

Hi micknjen , i am in the process of building the large perkasa. I opted for the glass hull kit from precedent .haven't got very far yet . your build looks really good.
Don't know about your wood kit , but not impressed with the quality or the fit of the wood parts in the glass kit........hey ho...

Trouble is DJ you have a kit that was originally part of the 'alternate' technology era, when fibreglass was a solution
looking for a problem. I have an RTTL hull in F/G that was made in the early 60s that would not be classed as a THIRD
by todays standards. I doubt that even at the end of Precedents production that any of the plastic hulls were refined
and we just accepted the state of the art as it was.

hi
i am new to this game ...any body got good ideas on how to power the 49 inch perkasa...twin prop....to make the bats last a bit longer ...lead acid..12 volt

Hi Mad Max
Ditch the twin prop and lead acid battery idea you'll be disappointed. Get the model as light as you can. Graupner 85obb turbo and lots of volts from metal hydride batteries. It's the power to weight trap you have to avoid with large patrol craft.

Hi Mad Max
I'd start with a 40mm two blade prop, and increase in size untill she runs to you satisfaction. However I reckon a 45mm will do the job. Beware do not use an X prop there are more suited to nitro engines. ( they will have an X on them and are of a very course pitch.
Regards Rob.

thanks to all that posted replys to my post i will take your advise and go for single prop and take it from there
