I'm sure a while back someone put up a post regarding the Czechoslovakian made Vladyka "Sea Star" cruiser kit. I won one from (daren't mention THAT auction site), and I'm well into the build of it.
Has anyone built one of these? I'd be very interested to compare notes if anyone has?
I'm waiting on the motors (2 x 550's) and the props (2 x 35mm 5 blade brass) to arrive, in the meantime I've practically completed the radio installation.

Why a double linkage Rich.? and will the clevis connection to the servo not clout the bolt on the arm?

Nothing is secured there as yet, Ian...the servo connection needs moving out a hole or two, I'll do that when I get round to finally securing things.
Double connection is for twin rudders.

Naaa, you have the rudders coupled, but with the servo arm shifted through 180Deg. and a single pin stuck downwards from the "Chocolate block" into servo arm hole, you've saved the front clevis and coupling rod _ another point of friction/jamming.

Are the props a little "heavy" for 550s?
I guess it depends on which 550s.....
The Graupner P30s work well with Mig (or Graupner) 600 7,2V motors, and we have a similar size (and also Czech) Challenger going well with only one motor and prop on 6 cells.

Hi John,
Props are recommended for the motors by Mr ACTion himself...the motors came from him, again at his recommendation.
I've also made provision to watercool them, should it be necessary. Battery pack is a 12v 3700a/h 10 cell pack.
She's coming along nicely, waiting on the rudders and the props to arrive. I cut all the windows out, so tomorrow I can sand them smooth and get them glazed. Or maybe I should spray it first, save masking them all up!
