Just finished my latest model, a Mitsubishi Type 0 floatplane, known to the Allies as a 'Pete'. I have had this kit for about 40 years lining the loft and finally built it. I have depicted it as aboard the Yamato as I'm building the Nichimo 1/200 kit too. The catapult is scratch built using the plan in the Yamato Anatomy book. I used Plastruct U section for most of the construction, with sheet plasticard for the rest of it. My next build will be the Revell 1/32 scale Arado Ar196 also on a cat', if I can get some drawings ;) ;). Cheers......Tony

Lovely build Tony - go on be a devil build the Yamato at the same scale to go with it, It will only be a shade under 18 ft long.

Awesome :-))

Nice job. I have three to build in 1:100 for my Fuso. As Pugwash says, go for it, the plane and catapult would look great on a 1:48 Yamato! :-))

Very nice build, looks so real :-))

That's a beautiful model. I am also a kit modeller for the last 35 years. 1/72, 1/144, 1/48 are the scales that I work with the most.
