Title: HMCS Haida
Post by: Martin (Admin) on August 28, 2011, 04:51:35 pm
Via email to Mayhem...

Hello Martin,
Recently I visited my mentor Steve Martin who is making great progress on his 1/60 scale RC scratch built model of HMCS Haida, one of Canada's most prolific WW2 warships. Steve tells me he should be sailing this model in about one year. I am sure you will agree that it will be a beauty on the lake

As HMCS Haida is a British design I thought your viewers would enjoy the photos

Cheers,
John in Parksville , British Columbia, Canada

I think this is one of the best warship models I have seen for a long time - excellent detail work

A super model. If I recall,it is a British Tribal Class destroyer? I somehow managed to miss seeing her when I visited Toronto 9 years ago.I did however manage to get to HMCS Star, where I was privileged to be allowed to ring the Ships bell of HMS Ramillies, which was filmed, and shown to the remaing members of her crew, the Association of which I am honoured to be their Secretary.
