Hi can anybody tell me what is generally used to hold or release the water in a sealed ballast tank system ? as I know the pressure will push back past the pump.
Is it something I can make or is it a bought item ?

I've used pinch valves, basically a servo pushes a steel rod into a block with the silicon tube from the pump through it.
You can either message Sheerline for one, or I'll make you one.
Andy :-)

sorry the valve is on the left with the tubing going through it and an offset cam on a servo to open and close the valve plus strat the pump via the micro switch
-
OK that seem straight forward Andy I am going to have a go at making one but may come back to you if thats OK
Mark do you use a standard servo on that or heavy duty ?
Cheers

@ Andy_k
Chris from Sheerline recommends a ball raced servo which is what I use think it cost me about a fiver never had a problem with the system used Andy

Futaba S3004 or S148 will do the job perfectly :-)
