Post by: bbdave on September 03, 2011, 10:29:11 pm
I'm looking for some where to sail near torquay i've found a website for a club in Paignton but it seems inactive i've emailed the contact but no joy. i have visited the Exeter club but they have loads of obstacles in the water docks etc which i'm not into i prefer open water.

Hi,
The smaller lake at Crealy is rather full of obstacles but the larger one is a lovely piece of water and can be used by club members at any time- just pick a time when the yacht boys aren't sailing which tends to be Sundays and Wednesdays. I use the lake and am often on my own there.
