Title: US Patrick Henry

Hello
I have an old Engel Patrick Henry sub. I am in the proces of putting her back in the water. I have noticed the seal that goes around the lid has worn away over the years and I wound not trust it under water. I have had a quick look on Engel web site but could not find any spare seals for her. Does any one know what could be used and were I can get it from.

John, from memory, you can use 2mm O ring cord as a seal, it will work perfectly. Run it round on the outside of the securing bolts, stick it down with a drop of superglue, and away you go.

I was looking for this the other day on the Engel site. Try entering part no 1589-20. It is listed as 'rubber gasket' and is 3mm x 1300mm.

I got from ebay some 3mm rubber cord . Any one got any tips on how to glue this down? or is itjust bit of super glue and do a bit then repeat this process till it is done?

You've just answered your own question, John...a little drop of superglue, lay down a six inch length or so...another little drop of superglue...etc, etc. Try not to get the cord twisted if possible...
