If you are using sat nav to DN14 OEL - once you arrive on Balne Moor Rd you will be told to turn right at West End this is to Balne Moor village center.
Ignore your instructor and carry on on Balne Moor Rd till you go under the railway bridge then look out for a concealed turning on the right.
That's where the Club is. If you approach from the other direction you need to turn left before the bridge, otherwise you will have to do a u turn and try again.
Hope this helps Wibplus and others

i will be there from friday afternoon so will be able to assist anyone if they have trouble finding the place just p.m me for my mobile number if you feel you may need assistance at all

Google maps give the Lat and Long of the pond as 53.667814,-1.101937. Some sat navs accept this type of co-ordinate.

Hi Folks
On behalf of Balne Moor m.b.c. I would like to thank all the people that came to see us whether it was to look or sail, both days was a success all though the weather was poor, and the pond was short of water. Having low tide we had a little excitement with grounding, but hay ho it turn out OK. But sorry to say that was the last tow for this season 2011 BUT watch this space for 2012.
All the best for the festive season from all at Balne Moor m.b.c.

Hi Folks.
This season at Balne Moor we have had a problem with water. We have been short of it and it's caused some problems when towing, we have had more sand banks than in the Humber. So some of the photo's you see where the tug is doing summer salts that's the problem the tanker is stuck and it's trying to get it of the bank. :-)) Some more photo's to come. please enjoy. We did doing it.

I must admit, i was at the controls of the lead tug here :embarrassed: hence the running aground.
