Friends ..its too hard time with my modeling project works..but i am thanking God once again for the busy, related to my modeling works..
this is my new Missile Boat, for the Cadets of Naval Academy..it is based on Veer class Corvette, but yes with some of my own modifications..
main consideration of this model is running time..so i added some innovations in electronic circuits used in.the motor is taken from a car fan, and Amperage is limited to 3 Amps maximum, so the battery life is saved a lots.two 5 Amps 6 Volts batteries are used, driving all equipments including ESC, Ampere limiter, Gun control, lighting.
i completed it as RTR, just recharge it and run it..all related equipments are custom made..and customized for ease of operation.
as usual, i started with thermocol..
all in scale, she is 3.5 feet long, 10 inches wide and weighs about 4.5 Kgs include heavy batteries..
showing the hull structure and rudder driving mechanism. i am thanking to the DYS company, for the great value for money servos, as it shows very good performance in all load levels..
-
motor coupling..most of us, the main head ache is the motor couplings..but see here its too easy to make one and easy to detach, and reassemble..
the main thing we need that only a motor cycle spoke, with its nipple. choose appropriate size of spoke, to your motor.
after applying some epoxy, hammer the nipple to the shaft of the motor gently, making sure it is straight..
-
drill a hole across the square side of the nipple with a heavy duty drill bit.
drill a same cross hole in to the sized spoke shaft, with same bit..
-
its too easy to attach the motor with shaft with a piece of a brass rod.
and we can absorb any rotational vibrations of motor by using these DVD player CCM suspensions..
-
showing the final drive train assy and rudder control.can see the vertical tube to grease the driving shaft..
a heavy surface is provided for excellent turn controls in all speed levels..
-
she is ready and time to make super structure..
all super structure made from foam board..
-
total super structure is made on the real scale..but with my innovation..i avoided cumbersome antennas, as radio science advances, it is not necessary to use heavy antenna systems on craft, as you can't see the reception antenna on the craft..
-
complete..
the RADAR rotator is made from a micro servo, reworked through electronic circuit and mechanical, can stop with 6th channel preset of the TX, from stop to full speed, either clockwise or anti clock wise..all from land..
-
mast attached..
and time to make missile tubes..all in easy way, by PVC pipe..
-
evenly marking with paper strip..
adding detailing..with seasoned paper and foam board..
-
now 4 tubes are ready and on stand..
-
painted..with silver glow grey..
the exhaust caps were made of foam board, seasoned paper and plastic bottle cap..
-
painted in rust, as i seen in the real crafts, made paint with orange with black, and added clay powder, and sand powder of Earthen tile..
and on the craft...
-
guided gun turrets are made of foam board and seasoned paper..
-
doom finished with putty..
and on the craft after painting..
-
the RADAR pod is from paper roll..seasoned..water proofed..
and on the craft..
-
i added a firing model gun, all made from thick foam board, and stiffened by metal paste to with stand the firing force..
-
shows all needed electronic controls..as ESC can hold more than 80 Amperes, it need not any attention, of heating up, as the total circuit current drain is limited to 3 Amps, so no worry, of un wanted throttle applying, and battery exhaust..she runs 1.7 hours continuous in my test trials, with single charge..
and lighting..by keeping the aspect of battery saving, i turned to L E D s this time..
-
painted..in cammou..no any expensive paints are used..but i know this paint will last for a life time..
almost complete..with lights on..
-
by using L E D s can save battery a lots..the total droping of lights is mere 120 mA..and it works well..
the search light is a high bright white L E D..
-
there is no need to pull out the super structure, to lay the batteries or to switch on..showing the recharge slot, and the total main switch. the receiver is also controlled by the same main switch, in 6 Volts, and a suppressor BEC circuit is provided to avoid any disturbance in voltage flow to the receiver..
shows the customization of the radio TX.by adding two more switches, for ease of control.
-
reworked customized radio TX..from 4 to 6..gave me simple additional controls at finger tips..one for gun control, and one for drive mode selection..
drive mode is provided, for an emergency situation, like heavy current, or wind, to overcome drifting..in normal cruise mode, the total circuit, will locked up within 3 Amps. but when we shifts the switches in to high mode, the total circuit, except the receiver will runs at full power..in this craft the heavy currnt drain is less than 6 amps at load..
fig shows the battery chargers..for Rx and Tx..all customized..the main battery charger can switch in to two modes, as overnight, and fast field charging, at the pool side.
-
all system combined...as yes she is an RTR...recharge it..forget it..run it...and can add two additional batteries, within seconds, or can replace with LiPoly..
as the full RTR..
-
shows the simple model gun firing..
framed up in 1/1000 th of a second..frame..
-
and..booom....
now she is in water...so stable...and with a heavy weight, she is too stable, and runs long, because of the acquired momentum..
-
she is massive..she is powerful..and all of my efforts to make this craft, is dedicated to all brave Sailors, Men and Women, serving the NAVY of my Country, who saves and looks after us while all we sleeps, and i took nothing in to my profit, from this work, but only dedication..
yes..sure are the videos...

all respected Friends..sorry for the repeated postings..my connection is too slow..looking for a 3G connection..
and have some nice crafts to you all... :-))
-
Nice work, and very innovative with the firing gun etc.
-
thank you Boz..got some health issues..now back in to life..inspiration continues.. :-)
