Title: Help looking for HMS HOOD and BISMARCK in wood kits
Post by: Tombstone on October 31, 2011, 12:29:05 pm
Hello and thanks for a good forum
A question my brother and I would like to build Hood and Bismarck in scale 1 / 200 kit. But is there some who know where we can buy them with wooden hull and fittings and have it sent to Denmark in one package? I'm not sure if I can get it all at Hachette in one package and they will send to Denmark.

As far as I know, the only wood-hulled Bismarck kit available is the Hachette magazine part-work one. The Aeronaut 1/200 kit has a single-piece plastic hull.
And (also as far as I know) there are no large-scale HMS Hood kits other than the Hachette one, in any material (not counting the Fleetscale 1/128 semi-kit)

You might well be able to find a complete Hachette Bismarck kit second-hand - I've seen numerous complete, unstarted ones on eBay UK over the last couple of years, but it might be very difficult finding a seller willing to send it to Denmark.
