Title: Brass Ageing
Post by: Netleyned on November 23, 2011, 04:57:58 pm
A Club member is restoring a 60 yr old river cruiser which has some missing brass fittings e.g. door hinges etc.
The new ones stick out like a sore thumb.
Anyone have a trick to age the new brass?

Ned

I hope this will help a little. The antiques trade does have methods of aging Brass etc. Hopefully there is a centre near to you which can give you some advise. John
