Here is some picture of my fleet in different scale, my favorite scale being 1/72. Hope you will enjoy my work :-)

Here is a world war 2 fleet with U.S and Japanese fleet in 1/1200 scale, used for wargame :
The US Fleet :

And now I'm building a 1/72 US aircraft carrier of world war II, only starting with the plane, I've already built some SBD dauntless (no photo yet) and some F4U Corsair :

That's all for now but I will try to share my future work when it will be completed.

Very impressive O0
Peter.
-
Very nice,
1/72 scale aircraft carrier.... you sure it's big enough :-)) :-))
Have you seen> http://www.shipmodels.info/mws_forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=12288
The hulls are now avaliable from phil direct.
-
Excellent models, dont ever move house. :-))
-
Thank you all for your appreciation and link, I still have some place, time and money to build others big ship, it's a pity that manufacturers don't offer much choice in 1/72 for ships >>:-( (The old revell flower class corvette is the only one with subs, if we except small patrol boats and landing craft) because I'm not the only one interested by this scale, I saw on internet at least two project for a 1/72 yamato battleship and many others. As for me I prefer aircraft carriers, I've always been fascinated by such ship and intend to build not less than one or two US (1 escort carrier and 1 Essex class) %% and one japanese (not determined yet) for world war two. I already stockpiled around 50 planes and more to come. My 1/72 fleet will become more powerful and ready for battle <*< My program will keep me busy for some time 8)
-
Here is some update to my work, I've built some more planes for my future 1/72 aircraft carrier (US and also Japan), I have 25 navy planes but much more are needed for a carrier and I'm building them right now (TBM Avenger, F6F hellcat, Japanese torpedo planes and others. I will start the aircraft carriers when I will have built around 50 planes (already stockpiled). I have ready all the materials, specific tools and plans for it. Hope to start in few month. :}

Yes, you're right, it's the Luxor temple, I had the opportunity to visit it so I decided to make it the way the Egyptian could see it when it was built and full of painting.

thats the kung fu airman

Hi
Just had a look at your link too - very industrious I must say. So did I get it right - you use brown parcel tape for masking? Is it that plasticky type? Doesn't it bleed at all?
Dave
-
The guy in the photo is climbing on his plane O0 or maybe dancing to celebrate his 5th Zero fighter shot down. ok2
And yes, I used the parcel tape as masking tape, just try it and you will enjoy the perfect result, 2 quality exist, thin and very cheap (not suitable at all for masking, it doesn't even glue well to the canopy) and thick, the strongest, easy to use and best for canopy masking. :-))

Great painting on the uniforms there ADM, I noticed best on that third photo taken from behind. Very realistic folds. Because my brain works at tangents that got me trying to remember in particular what it was called when an artist like Leonardo painted the draped figure - not retrieved it yet but meanwhile I came across this which has some nice examples of drawing folds in clothing. I thought I'd post it up as it might help someone painting figures but struggling - no not you ADM {-) http://www.mightyartdemos.com/mightyartdemos-bradley.html

That's an impressive and amazing amount of model making ADM, how do you store it all? - you don't look old enough to have been able to dedicate so much time to it - do you ever sleep? {-) {-) {-)
Well done to you, Regards, Tony.
-
I WANT! GIMMY...GIMMY...GIMMY...I WANNA PLAY!
Outstanding modelling and superb dioramas, hats off to you sir. If you're married or have a partner he or she must be very understanding...lot of money tied up in that lot plus the space and time in making them.
Si:)
-
Thank you mate for your appreciation, I'm experienced enough to work fast so it explain why I've already done so much at 46 years old, and just imagine what can be done if I live 100 year !!! %% I'm not married yet but she will have to marry my models too, after all it's top models :}
-
I always look forward to your posts ADM, Always something good to look at :-))
Dave
-
Absolutly fantastic! O0 O0 O0
Are you sure you are working in 1:72? The detail looks like what most people can manage in 1:32 %%
-
Hello ADM, are your figures hand painted by yourself? the more I study the detail and quality of your workmanship the more amazing are your achievements - incredible - am really impressed O0 :-))
Where do you get your figures from? I notice your profile doesn't say where your located.
Kind regards, Tony.
-
really nice, do you fancy a commission paint job on some figures! :}
-
Hi guy,
yes I've hand painted my figures, see the details and method here :

I'm located in Cannes (France) where actually take place the Cannes film Festival, I temporarily stopped to work on my project for 2 weeks to enjoy this festival, watching movies, envoying parties and so on, and sorry Brian but I have barely enough time for my own project, I can't work for others people, but You can learn by yourself, it's not very difficult when you understand how to do it.
-
Just studied your work on the Airfix link you posted - to use an American term I have to say ...............Awesome! - absolutely awesome. You must have the patience of Jobe, (or is it Job?) either way take my hat off to you.
-
Thanks tt1, I will come back with the hull in few months because there's a lot of work left for this aircraft carrier, awaiting that moment here is a photo took yesterday during a break at the Cannes film Festival, I'm with the actress Milla Jovovich, she's very cool and beautiful :-))

She certainly is O0 having said, that you don't scrub up too badly yourself! {-) - very smart. Would you mind telling this ignoramus what service / rank your in? I assume your serving / stationed in Cannes at the moment? Your right about being into "Top Models"!
Regards, Tony. :-))
-
Sorry, everything is classified ok2 , but top models or scale model it's my stuff during my rest :-)

....... speechless! :o
-
I'd like to know how many workers are hidden in your cellar ????????????????????
-
I spent 1 year and 1 month to do this from the very beginning (starting with the planes), it represent 2500 hours work (and more to come)and maybe I will finish around the end of the year but it's not sure, it could take longer. the hull was a big piece but I was able to do it within 3month (I'm a hard worker when motivated by passion ok2 ), the small details always take more longer than the big work O0
-
My aircraift carrier is not finished yet but I'm getting close, what is left now is planking the flight deck and painting everything O0

HI ADM brings back many memories of the Gambier Bay build. I hope to start U S S Copahee later this year. The two carriers together would make a great addition to my fleet. Thank you for comments on my build at 1/96 scale.

Very impresive :-)) :-)) :-))
-
Thank you everybody and it will be great to see your next ship Stan, you're the master of 1/96, as for me I have some others project in 1/72 scale but it's too early to talk about it, I need to gather materials first :-)
-
hello
nice work :-))
why have left the base at the foot of figurines,
a needle in the feet and collage discrete
-
Hi Gazou, I added a base to figures (most of them had not any before I painted them) because I can move them everywhere on the ship, they're not glued and I can use this escort carrier for Wargame.
