Title: Radio receiver

Hi. boys. My radio transmitter & receiver arrived today & I am wondering where to mount the receiver it is only small thing with a tiny aerial can these be mounted inside the hull around the motor or will that cause interference it gives instructions for air craft but not for a boat. I have a  TWISTER PLANET 5ch 2.4GHZ PARK FLY RADIO. which looks good, time will tell just how good.

This might help. Receiver to left of opening inside hull with antenna pointing up. Keep antenna above waterline as 2.4 dont work under water.

Sound advice from Richard.

For best results mount the receiver as high as possible in the hull with the aerial vertical and ass far as possible away from the motor and speed controller.

2.4ghz does not like being screened by water.

 DickyD. Helps a lot,I had no idea where to position the receiver, I know where I am going with things now the picture is a good guide, still waiting for my ESC to arrive then it will be some sea trials. thanks for the advice.

cuppa. Thanks I can get the receiver pretty high in my boat, Is there any limit to how far from the ESC & motor you can go, Or can I take it as far as the wires lets me.

Take it to the full extent Angus.
The higher the better.
There is not the issue of interference with 2.4GHz as opposed to the lower frequencies
but having the Rx in clear air away from the other electrical gear gives the optimum reception.
