Title: FLY BOY
Post by: Rottweiler on January 15, 2012, 07:17:40 pm
OK guys, I know this is a model boat site, but I really think I should share this with everyone. It is a 7 minute display but just see what you think?
Seriously,I have never seen model flying before, but I don't think I will ever see anything like this again.
please watch it.
Mick

What can one say? Such skillful flying and so near to the ground at times. John.

The flying and aircraft control was magnificent . . . . .

only spoilt by the blathering commentary and the really intrusive music!  >>:-(

Great stuff Mick,

You can see it closer to home!! Your local flying club put on several displays like this at their air day this summer on north cliffs.

They pay well respected national model flyers to come down and display.

The cherry this year was the Bishops (father and son) flying 1/6 scale Red Arrow hawks in formation....incredible

fantastic, I can do most of those as well, only trouble is, its not intentional and definitely not in control and ALWAYS ends with the need for a bin bag. %%

This must be the best low level display flying that i have ever seen  :-)), after 35 years ( and hundreds of pound notes - yes there were notes ! ) I wouldn't attempt a quarter of that on a good day.

As for the 3D Heli's - not my scene at all - they remind me of a cross between a Flymo and a mosquito on Viagra , although I do appreciate the skill of the pilot's involved it's just all too busy and unnatural  {:-{ .

I used to fly a Precedent Hi Boy (hi wing trainer) which was from the same stable as a Fly Boy (a low wing trainer I think!).

I think the Hi Boy was one of many designs by none other that Mr ACTion?

6 degrees of separation, who needs 6!
