I thought I'd show a few pictures of my VS1 conversion. I'm using an O.S. lower and an Aquacraft 2300kv motor with adapter, a Turnigy 120 amp esc and Nanotech 4s 5000mah batteries.
This is what I'm starting with a nitro powered VS1 that I've raced for a few seasons but it's still in pretty good shape.

The hull was stripped and the fuel tank removed then the deck cut out for the new battery box.

New pieces cut out and brass for sealing the wire and cables.

Not much interest but here's a pic of it all back together, 2 coats of West Systems inside and sprayed with 2 coats of Klass Kote epoxy on the outside. Hopefully that should keep it watertight. The motor wires and steering cables are sealed to the brass with heat shrink tubing. I still need to trim the back of the cowl to clear the motor wires.

Looks nicely engineered. Are you going to make a motor cowl for it?

Thanks, they don't usually use engine cowls for racing these but it would look pretty good.
Maybe I can modify one of the ones from the Proboat Stiletto to fit.
