Title: Very Large RC Boat RUDDER TYPES

WWII Higgins Boat Landing Craft
The eventual size of the boat will be 1,384 mm long (54.375 inches) by 304 mm (12 inches ) at the water line, and a beam of 428 mm at the deck
W/ HD motor, 3/16" Prop Shaft, 2.5 inch Brass Propeller

My question involves the rudder ?
For a boat this large I am debating a Robbe Assembly vs. Raboesch Balance Rudder vs. a Becker Rudder Assembly
The Robbe is 36mmx 70mm, The Raboesch is 36mm x 60mm, and the Becker Rudder assembly is 65mm x 105 mm

Given the size of the boat which would be the better option?

Hullo Doug...I suppose you have a few self answering questions.... :D

1. what scale is your vessel built to?
2. do you have the scaled sizing for the original as rudder?
3. I don not know the design timing for the introduction of Becker style rudders...although assume clearly after WWII
4. balanced rudders were used pre & post WWI
5. if you use a rudder that is overscale in size, but still toward the original design could be considered as OK ....many model constructors go down this path for functionality in steerage
6. using a rudder design that is contemporary to the the original vessel would place the model as stand off scale
