hi tugs what is your motor chain Larry,.....
-
Well its best back to wood..
Are you going brushless in the rebuild..?
-
Hi iam putting the irvine 61 back in mounted on quiet mounts ive not used brushless yet and wanted to keep this one as it was and moneys tight her in doors wont put my pocket money up yet {-) {-)
-
ive found that these aerokits hulls run better if you fit some spray rails to the hull , it helps get them onto the plane , hence a little less power being used !
-
The thought had crossed my mined but i was unsure what difference it would make thanks
-
been at it again today new rudder and a made a water pick up because the old one was to the side and it never got much water through it also put a spray rail on not sure if it will make any difference but try it and see

i wont get any more done now till next weekend

A freind of mine has similar boat, he tried his, minus the spray rail, didnt handle too well, but once he retrofitted them, it behaves itself quite nicely now.
-
it was ok with out them but been told it will be better with ive also come across a 91 ic engine that might go in yet
-
Quick question what difference will putting the exhust down to the water line rather than having it half way up the transom
thanks brian
-
at the waterline it could quite easily back fill the exhaust system & engine when the boat is at rest in the water !
-
Wanted to spray the hull today but its rained all day so started painting the top and made some new window frames also managed to remove the old prob shaft with out and damage and a new ones on order

Stunning ! It just shows you what a great piece of design these were and with the right engine they can certainly motor... nice work ! :-))
