Dusty,

FWIW I'll be using the kit supplied parts to make my rudders, I couldn't see any reason not to use them :-))

Hi,

The kit ones are fine, although it would be better to have some white metal instead on such a excellent kit, not sure if anyone does them though.

You could use a pair of Robbe ones and just shape them like the Tamars? They may be a bit stronger than the kit supplied ones, I changed the ones on my Trent, didn't take long to shape them. Dave.

I used the kit rudders and modified them using plasticard, styrene strip to get the profile and a little filler.  I thought it'd be easier than using the kit parts.  I used a similar method on my Trent.  This might help; http://modellifeboats.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/break-out-filler.html , unless you've already used you're Robbe runners...

That's what my instructions say to do - and using the kit parts.

My kit was bought last year {:-{

so long as you feel what you have done and how you do it is right in your own mind, and that you are satisfied with that choice, then who has the right to  try to sway you from your own decision...it's your boat after all. :-))
