Meyhemers,
I've just bought a secondhand Bantock "Image" IOM (same hull as Ikon, different deck).
I didn't realise just how much fun IOMs are; how responsive and how competitive!! Is there anyone else out there racing these things, or are you all too busy tweaking them to post here?

Hi Chris,
I just been racing today and will be again on Sunday I'm sure your going to get hooked on the sport. you have a well proven and fast boat there it's now down to you to learn how to tune it for best results. If you didn't know Gosport model sailing club have a stunning lake to sail on probably in the top 5 in the country http://www.gosportmybc.org.uk/ I also sail Marbleheads and 'A' Class yachts.

as you live in or near to poole , there is a club that opereate in poole park , would that not be more local to you than driving along to gosport ?

Poole Park is Ok but suffer with weed in the summer months unlike Gosport.

dont think any lake is immune from having problems , gosport was itself closed for a time last year due to algea , its quite a drive up from poole , if there is a club thats almost on your doorstep , cj1 is also blessed with having some of the best model yacht chandelers on his doorstep in bournmouth , who im sure would be able to help !
