It certainly looks the 'Biz'. It would cost more than that to actually build one yourself.

Hull looks very similar to the Ripscale Perkasa, you can pick them up for a reasonable price! I managed to get a 'damaged in transit' hull, to be honest, it was actually pretty wrecked, but simple job to rebuild and upgrade in the end.

Knowing my luck Ken as soon as I bought it a nice Peraksas or Tug would turn up for sale on here

This boat is called BRAVEBORDERER and is a very nice boat, I built one from scratch and it's 36" long to 3/8" scale, powered by 7- cell sub C NimH with brushless motor, here is the video link to you-tube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2FxmJ20mkk

Have you considered looking in the "For Sale" Section, at lease 1 complete Perkassa for sale a lot cheaper than the Graupner one.

Seen that Bob but not understanding about how the 3 motors control worksam tempted but with the probs I got with my own abit wary .I'll see if its still available and never say never
