Title: Styrene Sheet and Foamboard
Post by: sailorboy61 on May 23, 2012, 09:09:54 pm
Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has any secret recommendations for the supply of styrene sheet at reasonable cost, have managed to get 10 x A4 x 1mm ex fleabay for a tenner which didn't seem too bab, but I'm also looking for some 2mm stuff.

I've also been having alook at the possibility of foamboard. I found a thread here from some years ago, just wondered if there were any newer users with advice to offer, seems like a suitable material for the likes of accommodation?

Cheers

Look at a firm called Hindleys in Sheffield big sheets of hip  up to 2.75mm I think are very reasonable,

Hello! I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing, but is this of any use? I have been using a medium density model board which comes in 50mm 250mm x 250mm. There is also a high density board available. Its available from 'Easy Composites', easycomposites.co.uk. It retails at about £30 inc p&p. Nick

find a friendly sign maker. they use former and serene to print signs on. there's always decent if cuts.
