You should be proud of the build considering that you built the steam plant and the boat, Wide A Wake isn't a easy build so well done.
Next pics please with steam from the LUM.

Tom (Action man) now has a treasure map to follow , a work bench with spanner (11 BA) ,oil can (made from shim brass sheet) and a water gauge to view the water level in the reserve tank.
Not long now.

Down at the pond for its first run out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KAzWXKQCDA  :} Gas tank is running cold causing a drop in pressure next project to sort out.
So far so good.

Hi Steam Up,

I've had great success using the fuel in liquid form from the gas tank via an evaporator coil wrapped around the burner. The gas tank stays at ambient temperature (in can be lagged in the winter) and maintains pressure until the very last drop of fuel. The only problem now is that there is a sudden stop in fuel instead of the gradual reduction that you get by taking off the fuel as a gas.

I use a gas regulator after the evaporator and, to ensure that it is not overheated by the hot fuel gas, I run the gas pipe through a water cooler (through which the boiler feed water is sucked) between the evaporator and the regulator.

Ian.
