Title: Steam throttle
Post by: kiwimodeller on July 15, 2012, 11:16:30 am
Hi, can anybody suggest a supplier for an R C steam throttle valve that takes 3/16 pipes? I know of some who have them for 1/8 amd 5/32 pipes but am struggling to find one for a larger engine. Thanks, Ian.

Ian.......it's all to do with the steam tables  :((

1/8" OD tube x ? ID x length = the pressure drop

Suggest you talk with the people @ Minature Models in OZ........they have their  3/4"x 3/4" twin horizontal GEM engine running on a single 3/16" OD  steam supply tube.......however their lagest boiler is fitted with a 1/8" OD tube size needle valve :o ................Derek
