Hi... I am looking for a complete kit to build and I liked the look of the Billing 1/20th scale US Coastguard/Waveney lifeboat model. Its been discontinued so there are a few around that are discounted... I can't afford the Metcalfe 1/12th scale one and I don't want to scratch build as I am already scratch building another boat and fancy some good old kit building.
Can anyone recommend the Billing kit?

Hi, I've just started boat building and was looking for a complete kit as well. Like you I like the look of the Coast Guard/Waveney lifeboats. I just ordered the 1:40 scale Billings Waveney from Cornwall model boats. I thought a 3' foot boat was a good starter size rather than the larger 6' version. According to the Cornwall website the 1:20 scale US Coast Guard boat is available. Hopefully the website stock is up to date.
Kind wish,
Bruce

I think Bruce you will find that you have the size wrong, the size is in MM's on the Cornwall site, so it is a very small boat, I think you should check it out. Mick B.

What? I was wondering how I could get such a big parcel around the globe for 12 quid. I'm going to crawl into my man cave for the weekend. I'll be back on Monday - NZ time. Actually by then my really small parcel will probably have arrived.
Still - the fact that the 1:20 scale is available at Cornwall is still correct!!
