Title: lancaster model shop
Post by: ELVIS on August 03, 2012, 07:09:02 am
Hi all.
just been away for a weeks holiday down carnforth and had a run to the model shop in lancaster, all I can say is what a cracking shop it it now.
twice the size it used to be and some great deals on offer. (and plenty of kits to look at)
one thing I do like in a model shop is a bit of second hand gear to have a look at and buy.
couple of things that I thought bargain was a second hand tunnel hull speed boat £20 with radio and also a nice large cruiser model boat 5ft ish long
only £75 looked a nice model.
only problem I had was we where camping so could only get some mags and small parts I needed so the boats are still there but will be having a run down again in a few weeks time.
keep up the good work
all the best
dave :}

That is the Lancster Model shop, yes. It's my "local"  {-) Only an hour or so away by car.
And yes, it is a fantastic shop.
Not the best for boats I suspect. Their range of boat fittings isn't extensive but they're very helpful. Plenty of planes and cars.
I was very tempted by the second hand Flower Class they had there for some time..it was huge.

but they're very helpful.

Agree totally Rob........I was in there two days ago when I took a 2.4 receiver back that I bought just before christmas as one of 3 with 3 tranny's that I bought for my lifeboats......and by now you can tell how considerably dusty it had got......it just wasn't binding with the 3 tranny's..........dad and son had no problem what so ever in swapping it for a new one..............no quibble or argument at all............NOW THAT IS  a superb service, and it's worth the 50 mile round trip to buy my stuff from them....

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL HOBBY SHOP!!!.....YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE!!! :-)) O0 O0 O0

NEIL.
