Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding radio systems,
I have a Spektrum DX8 and was wondering if I did another model that only required say 4 channels would I still
have to purchase an 8 channel receiver to match the transmitter ?
Thanks
Steve

No
Can't get much simpler I'm afraid. Most boats only use 4 channels to function so would be saving yourself a few Bob. :-))

So do I have to stick with spectrum or can I use any brand as long as its 2.4ghz?
-
You'll still have to get a matching R/X but the number of channels doesn't matter.

The orange receivers from Hobbyking work great with spektrum radios. Under a fiver each and six channels.

+1 on the HK receivers. Very good value with no problems.

Yep agreed, but I wouldn't trust orange RX in a flying model of haigh value, but thats just me
