Hello All
I need the membership`s health. I am looking for any dealer who might have or can get a hull of the British Aircraft Carrier Invincible as she was during the Falklands (excuse me if misspelled) War. I would like to buy one in 1/144 scale. For me because of health and space restrictions, making the hull from scratch is VERY HARD.
I would appreciate it if anyone knows of a GOOD Dealer if you could post a link to them here for me.
Thanks In advance for your time and help.

Unless you'd logged on to the American forum a couple of minutes before I did, you wouldn't know Nick.
Someone asked where to get milling cutters reground/sharpened on one forum, my suggestion of one near me in Bradford wasn't much use when the questioner finally decided to inform us he was in California.
A country or even Planet location assists.
Regards Ian.

OOOOOH !!! the perils of NOT putting your location in your Profile.
I've lost count of the number of times I've requested members do this. >>:-( >>:-(

Hello Again
Thanks for the news so far. Also sorry for the lack of profile info. That has been corrected, not an excuse but I will use it, I didn`t honestly know how to correct my profile omission till I found the little button on screen. Computers ________ nightmare! Also I have to say some of the very dull light blue text is hard to read and my computer screen is fairly new. Might want to increase the text intensity a little bit for all members with vision issues. Just a thought.
Thanks again for All the info help.

Hello Everyone
Unless a miracle occurs, I don`t think it will. I will have to put the Aircraft Carrier plans on hold. I have a set of plans from Jecobin for the Invincible so I guess when I am healthier and there is more room, then I will have to start the hull from scratch in 1/144 scale.
For now is there ANY SOURCE of deck figures, vehicles, etc. in 1/144 that anyone knows about? Please post a link if you can.
Thanks Again Everyone for your help. Oh before I forget, the ONLY reason I choose 1/144 scale is it was still possible to carry one model by myself and transport it in my vehicle without buying a van for it.

1/144 figures are quite easy to source as its the scale used in UK N gauge model railways. tho German and america N is a slightly different scale, the differences are only marginal
Noch, Faller, Preiser, and model power all do a comprehensive range of figures in these scales. Tho they might need a repaint/remodel to better suit your needs
Also there are many static model ships in this scale from the likes of Trumpeter and Dragon as well so etched brass detailing kits should be easy to come by, if a little expensive

Thanks for the list of figure sources. I have my air wing already. I need deck vehicles and men, both flight deck crew and soldiers for both the USS Tarawa and HMS Invincible when she was in the Falklands War. Hulls I would love to find BUT it looks like I will have to scratch build them.
Thanks Again for the help.

Hi Frank
Thanks for the picture. Just one thing, it`s kinda hard to see what the colours are in a black and white picture.
