HI all
Having a issue at the moment that when I turn my radio on the servo that is connected to the channel that I normally use for the motor throttle is throwing its self fully round to a stall condition until the TX and RX have found each other, could this be fixed by fitting an in line switch to switch the servo on after the TX and RX have found each other if so what would be the best wire to break.

It's failsafing to the position the throttle stick was in when you bound the Transmitter and receiver together, and should be set up properly and shouldn't really be tampered with...

I thought that it might be something like that but when they were bound the stick was in the neutral position so I thought that it would sit in the center with just a small twitch which is what it does on the other channels

Ok have rebound the radio system but its still doing the same until the TX and RX have found each other, any other suggestion? Was wondering if it is something iffy with the receiver will see if any clubs members can let me borrow one, but in the meantime if any one has any ideas I am all ears thank you.

are you turning the TX on before the rx?

you got me there {-)had to go and do it again just to be sure but sadly the result is the same if the TX is switched on first.

ok have you tried removing all the servo leads and then trying the servo that is causing problems in other positions and a servo that isnt causing trouble in the troubelsome channel so to speak.What is the radio system that you are using.

what radio are you using - exact Tx please - as any recommendation can only be given once that is known >:-o
The reason is that different radios use different methods of setting the failsafe, some set to 'last known position' some set to 'a preset position' some only affect the throttle channel.
And then some set the throttle to closed/off before they receive a Tx signal.
There are too many variables for anyone to give a definitive answer on what the problem is, this is caused when someone tries something and it works - and thinks "it must work on every occasion" - sorry, but that's wrong >:-o
You have several replies in this thread and they could be correct for 1 brand of radio but no other - hence you get 3 different replies that each poster thinks his reply is correct, but which one should the OP listen to??
I see it time and time again on here, and it really annoys me that when a question such as the OP is asked, and people can't ask the most basic question such as the first line in this post >>:-(

Ok Mark its a planet t5 with a R6m receiver (sorry should have said at the start)
Stavros yes mate have tried that everything works find on all the other channels and swapping servos ect funny thing is when connected to a motor driven boat the motor remains in the neutral position i.e motor does not suddenly go racing off ??

the boat that I am trying to set up is A yacht (star baby)
the servo is a Hitec large sailing servo
with regard to my previous post I took the Rx and Tx and placed them into a motor driven boat to see what reaction I would get and the motor stayed in neutral. Hope this helps to un perplex you :-))

How did I get that funny feeling it was a Hitech servo in a Yacht !!!!!!.....Been there had the tee shirt myself.Now I use a Futaba 2.4 set and Occasionally get this on a 1mtr yacht.
The only way around this in My Opinion is to remove the ratchet on the stick that is causing trouble and everytime you use the yacht is when packing it up set the stick to the furthest out(sails) and when powering up set to same position you MIGHT find this solves it,Am I right in thinking also that this particular set does not have model memory and this in it's self can cause a problem as you would alos have set your end points to the other model
