well!, if you wanna sell it, I'd advertise it correctly for a start......

The Boston Typhoon was and is kitted by Mountfleet Models..........NOT  graupner.

I've seen them in lovely condition make anything between £350 and 800 quid......but that's the market for one in good condition.

Hi There.
Its actually a Mountfleet kit not Graupner. The kit retails at £625.  I would go for £400 reserve

Then again you have`nt said whats in it type of motor, radio gear scon, any working features lights  sounds  electric steam.

The better you bait you`r hook the bigger fish you`ll catch ie: describe it inside and out with big pix, you really have to draw the
potential buyers attention to the finer points of your item verbally.

                    Frank.  :P

I never use reserve on ebay. It tees me off when I bid and it says 'reserve not reached' which puts me off bidding any more, so I assume it will have the same effect on some other people too.
And you pay extra for it - in this case (£100+) it'll be £1.30 + 3% of the reserve price. Heaven knows why - ebay gets a big enough cut as it is. (Yes, I've just sold a bunch of stuff and ebay + Paypal (owned by ebay) netted about 14% of the proceeds).

Just set your starting price at your 'reserve' - the amount you really don't want to take less than - and say in the description there is no reserve. It'll give people some idea and hope of what they might get it for.

On ebay for £100+ your listing fee is £1.30 plus any extras you add (12p per extra pic IIRC). Final value fee is now 10%.
If you are paid via Paypal then for up to £1500 they take 3.4% + £0.20.

There is another site called ebid which might be worth a try, but I'm not sure it's much good for 'specialist' stuff like this. I tried some of my model trains and got very little interest. Unfortunately the better price you may get on ebay will probably cover their extra fees; but it still smarts.
