Title: Gas Tank Design
Post by: frazer heslop on September 16, 2012, 07:31:49 pm
On my ongoing build of Basil Harley's Victoria I need now to make a gas tank as its just not possible to fit a standard disposable bottle. Can any one point me in the direction of design requirements for Butane or the Butane\Propane mix ie max pressure the vessel needs to be built to and do the valve spindles need to be captive.
I used to have some info from Malcolm but its long gone.Any help greatly appreciated
many thanks
Frazer

Frazer,

Here is a copy of the design pressures that we use in Scotland for L.P.G. Hydraulic testing.

It would of course be helpful if the details had been included.

Frazer  for some reason I can't post this so if you P.M. me I can send it by email.

George.
