Hi There, have you run the engine on the bench for an hour or so to run it in? This process beds all the running surfaces down ans establishes all the running clearances  of the bearings and generally loosens everything up.If the engine is still a little tight you will need to use more steam to run it. once the engine has been run in, you will find you will need less throttle and you will get longer running times. Dont forget to use plenty of light machine oil on the bearings when bedding the engine in. Hope this is of some help.
Regards,
Nick. :-)) :-)) :-))
