Dads Army and Clive Dunn will make people laugh for many years to come. With the exception of Ian Lavender and Bill Pertwee they can not be many cast members alive now. A great actor and a great British comedy series which will go on and on.

Here's a little known bit of trivia. Clive Dunn's Number 1 hit "Gandad" was written by the bass player Herbie Flowers also famous for playing on Geoff Wayne's "War of the Worlds" and playing the bass rif on Lou Reed's "Walk on the Wild side"

Don't Panic, ........Dooooonnnnnn't Panic..........he's lives on every saturday night on Beeb 2.............I watch him religously.....and I couldn't do without my weekly dose of the bumbling bafoon.

Herbie was also the bass player in 'Sky'.
But back to the theme - I'm amazed that I am still seeing episodes of Dad's Army on Gold etc that I've never seen before... and loving every one of them. :-))

I normally crack a couple of ribs with laughter while watching it {-) {-)

Like a few of the younger ones on here, I was bought up with Dad's Army. It made me laugh then as a child, and still makes me laugh now.
There are very few comedies that can touch all ages, and even fewer that stand the test of time. A great testament to both the great cast and the excellent writers.
RIP Clive Dunn the man, but the warmth and laughter you brought us will live on.

Only Fools and horses is another that never ceases to make me laugh
-
stupid boy.

Jonesy on the steam roller at boot camp, one of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV, timeless comedy from a timeless comedian.
RIP Clive!
