  what makes a servo shudder batteries fully charged plugged in ok no makers name on it

Could be a bad feedback pot, or a fault on the amplifier circuit, faulty receiver or a bad power supply.

receiver ok. works the two other servos ok must be the old servo thanks for reply

Bad power supply is not just the battery, battery box connector, battery lead, switch and plug - as far as the servo is concerned, it includes the servos own plug and lead.  The connections there might have just become old and tired.
