Hi, does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be suitable to use for or where I can get 1/200 anchor chains I need them for my trumpeter Bismarck as they aren't in the box as they're supposed to be
Many thanks

Anchor chain does not come in 'scales' as such as a large ship would have more substantial ones than a smaller one to the same scale.
Perhaps someone who has this model can measure the link size and post it on here.

A few of the well stocked model shops sell the studded chain in a few sizes. It's about £13 IIRC

Does this help?

Oh my goodness what a very small fine pen/pencil, hard to tell. %) %)
Amazing how it was made to such a small scale O0 O0

Looks like Martin still has an outside loo..... :o

Here is a 1:200 scale drawing of the Bismarck anchor chain, as drawn by Hans Gally. Gally drew it in 1:00 scale, and I reduced in size by exactly 1/2.

Hope this helps.

Some chain I have got from a knick-knack type shop which sell costume jewellery etc - some of the chains are very fine
and reasonably cheap and would be suitable for very fine scale model use
