Ok I know the Seawolf is not a real sub, but I am planning on adding a little extra detail to it, so was wondering what scale it was roughly
Details are not going to be anything fancy, just some hand rails and maybe a deck gun or 2
-
I would have said about 1/80th scale.
I'd keep the apperance clean. Seawolf is a modern streamlined type hull, and I think deck guns will look out of place, personally. Bear in mind such paraphanalia tends to increase drag substantially.

So cannibalism of 1/76 1/72 tanks and the like should yield something believable?
-
Most likely yes.
-
ok so maybe I just stick with a few handrails

When I had my seawolf I got a 1/100 scale lynx helicopter on a thick brass wire so when in the water and dived the lynx "flew" thru the air skimming the waves and NOBODY could complain they didnt know it was there.
the 1/100 looked the part in scale also :-))
If i have any pics will post but I think I lost them all {:-{

High gingyer, where did you get your Lynx helicopter from please, i would like one for a deck of a Leander class frigate in1/100 scale. Regards, Dave.

This is my old Robbe Seawolf, built as a totally fictional Cold War Russian boat named "Mother Russia".
