Has anyone built the Metcalf Mouldings 47ft watson lifeboat, any opionions on accuracy, fit of compononents etc.

Daryl...I am building a Metcalf 41ft Watson....bit smaller than the one you are interested in,but i may be able to help you.

Not yet, I'd thought I'd get a few opinions from anyone who has built one first to see what if any pitfalls there are with the hull and fittings. If he is at weymouth I might get a chance to ahve a look at one close up.

I have just found a good item on Knightswood MBC web site on the Watson 47ft, now all my questions have been answered.

looks a very good job, keep posting the pictures as I fidn them interesting. Have you polished the hull? the finish looks superb.
