Title: Warship crew member models
Post by: Armo61 on February 14, 2013, 04:37:19 am
Hello Shipmates just thought I would inquire as to does anyone have information on crew members for our models.
I can only seem to find the etch crews in 1/350 etc. Does anyone know of any plastic full crew one can buy not just in 1/350 but in some of the bigger scales. Like 1/200 1/125 etc would be nice to know if possible. A ship just isnt correct without some crew onboard is it?

Hi Armo, I googled and this came up, maybe you want to take a peek. Complex scale conversions though - what scale is 1/50" = 1' ? %%

You might like to try;  http://www.modelshop.co.uk/ekmps/shops/modelshop/index.asp (http://www.modelshop.co.uk/ekmps/shops/modelshop/index.asp)

They have figures in a lot of different scales.  They're not naval figures but at that scale a little knife and filler work should be feasable.

Thank you Glen and TailUK yes its a cruel world. Plenty of figures if you model 1/35 especially military. Never mind will get used to the 3d stuff I guess they look ok at 1/350 on Nimitz.

For 1/125 I would use Preiser TT scale figures. It's a European model train gauge, not too common. Otherwise, raid the figures from the Revell U-47 and somehow clone them (as I alluded to on the Lindberg Fletcher thread).

For 1/200, I found some on ebay very cheap. White, unpainted, 100 pcs for a few bucks They're civilians and quite a few are obviously women or train passengers with bags, etc., but I can modify them.
