Title: Looking for Bay/Loch class frigate.
Post by: Dave Bardick on March 27, 2013, 07:24:15 pm
Hi,

Does anybody know how or where I should start looking for a scale model (RC or static, kit, plans or built) of the Bay/Loch class Frigate?

My father was a Petty Officer on HMS Dampier in the early 50's. It was a survey ship that had been adapted (guns/weapons removed) from one of the Bay-class frigates.

Although beyond my patience to scratch-build I do fancy a challenge.

I'm sure my father would enjoy the build too.

Well deans marine do the full kits of both and they also do the hull and vac forms as part of the Mouldeans range so try there.

Mike,

Brilliant! Unbelievable. I'm getting so much out of this forum.

Thanks!

Dave.
