Has anybody had dealings with a company in California called "Ages of Sail"? I have seen their web page and they seem to have a big range of models. They advertise the Boston Typhoon kit and the St Nectan kits which I am interested in, but as they are very expensive kits to buy I wanted to research the company first.

Why buy them from the US when when Mountfleet are a UK company?
The new owners had an unfortunate fire several weeks ago but are now picking themselves up off the floor and will back in product before to long.

Yes very good point and I would certainly buy British and support a company that is having difficulties, but I am told that Mountfleet Models are concentrating on the smaller models that have a greater demand. The larger and considerably more expensive kits could be a long way off in the future. I will talk to them again at this weekends Coalville show. Thank you for your comments, it's always good to get another point of view.
