Title: Hi, Tomas from Sweden
Post by: Ompa on May 12, 2013, 08:42:30 am
Hello modeling friends.
My name is Tomas 44years old and I'm from Sweden. I have always being fascinated of scaleboat building and mostly working vessels.

When I was about 12years old I got my first 1/8th rc car and it was there my big interesting for model building started. My first own build was a wooden daycruiser. As the years passed by I more and more turned over to scale airplanes and helicopters.

Three years ago I had a very tough divorce. Lost my house and hobby shop.  So now I'm sitting in a apartment and start to thinking of what to do. It not so easy to build an 100” dive bomber on the third floor and no elevator   ok2.   Scaleboats, that is more convenient to handle in the apartment and easier to store away when I'm not build. And at least, it is a very relaxing hobby. So for the moment I have begin to look around to see which model to buy. But mostly I gathering information and modeling tips.

There are a couple vessels which has got my attention, and that is Model slipway Aziz, Billing boats Fairmount Alpine and Robbe Happy Hunter. So after this summer I probably had made my mind up on what to buy and can start my own build.

Best regards,
 Tomas

Lunch today will be Swedish meatball in white pepper sauce.... your treat!

Aziz (Model Slipway) is probably  the most complete kit of the three.
Billing, Fairmount Alpine  ( maily wood construction) looks great but not seen one completed.
Happy Hunter... stuill my favourite tug!

Martin

No that’s not lutfisk. That is Surströmming you refer to. I would not even taste it if I get paid... :o

Lutfisk is a bit complicated to explain. Provide a link to wikipipedia instead  ok2
