Title: From the archive's
Post by: Liverbudgie2 on May 12, 2013, 12:54:48 pm
It's cold and wet here in Liverland and as I was looking for a picture I came across some files I had scanned before the scanner gave up.
Perhaps they will revive memories - I shall now return to the workshop and continue with the Shaarhorn. More will follow if you wish.
LB
First from the first IFOS event in Bristol 1996?

Thought that would wake you up - yes you can have copies. If you want full sized ones i'll have to email them to you as they are rather large files.

Certainly is, but long broken up now, I still have the funnels though and one of the masts; a new version is on a slip however.

Thank you.
Those photos just really go to show that modelling in the 70s and 80s could be just as good as nowadays.  No computers. No photo etching. No laser printing/cutting.
All just done by using the head and a lot of common dog.
Again. Thanks for those pics. BY.

As there has been a couple of positive reply's here some more.
Southport Lifeboat Regatta Weekend.  Brian King and the late Bill Wilkinson are the two people, both of whom are and were two of the best marine modelmakers I have ever met.

Yes no problem, so long as they are credited and no copies are taken.

No Idea about any drawings but was built by a well known modeller of the time, keith Osbourne (sp) or similar and featured in Model Boats, there was a picture on the cover. I think the model is of the Dover boat.

No idea. I think though that the one with the white sails was built the Scotch chap who designed that card model of the SD14. He was well known at the time though his name escapes me at present.

Thanks Budgie, I`ll open another "what this model" thread.  It was bought in Aberdeen so you may be right with the Scottish connection.
