Title: USS Missouri 128 scale
Post by: KenP on June 06, 2013, 10:55:47 am
Hi all,
I'm slowly building, very slowly, USS Missouri based on the Fleetscale 1:128 hull.
Question: Does anyone, other than Quaycraft sell fittings  for this ship and to this scale?
I'.m thinking of Hose Assemblies,  Mk51 Directors, Director Radars etc  i.e. the smaller niggly bits which Missouri has in profusion!!!

Ken,I'm not sure if they do that scale, but it may be worth a look at Deans Marine,or J R Haynes?
Lets have some photos of your build then!

Hi,
Neither John Hayes or Deans do anything in 1:128 scale.
The Missouri has a lot of minor Directors and each seem to have radar attachments, modelling them at 1:128  looks a right s*d.
I've got a feeling that the ship will never get completed!!   My plan was to complete the removable superstructure then start/do the deck level stuff.
I've attached some "blurred" photos, they were OK until I started to reduce their size using Photoshop, then I ran into trouble

what you have done so far is looking pretty good, despite the fuzzy photos! There must be someone out there who produces items in the scale you need? Do Fleetscale themselves not do them? It would be a shame not to get it finished.
Good Luck
