Hi If I wish to use my T5 for sail control when sailing as opposed to Motor do I have to change the left stick function . At the mo sprung centre can or do I have to change it to just fully back then forward and how complicated .
Thanks

Hi jaymac,
for sailing , using a sail servo, drum or arm really you need a ratchet on the
left stick/throttle. It would not be comfortable to sail a boat having to hold
the stick in position to let the sails in & out.
Fitting a ratchet to the T5 is quite easy your model shop may help.
But if you need the Tx for other models, power models where you require
a spring it would be better to buy another Tx that you can set for yachts
i.e. sail servo end points etc.

Thanks John I would not need it for other models but to fit a ratchet I'd need an Idiots guide to just take the back off the Tx :} . Can you buy ones alrerady set for sailing

most radios are supplied with a ratchet on one stick , to fit one on a planet is less than a ten min job ( i did one last night )

Hi jamac,
are you a member of a club as I am sure one of your club mates would sort it for you.
it is as triumphjon says a 10 min job.
