on the 14th of september 2013 , portsmouth model yacht racing club are holding their first open race meet . the event will start at approximatly 10 am and run until around 3 45 pm , car parking is free on surrounding side streets , although theres a pay n display car park less than two hundred yards from the lake , the lake boasts full all around bank access , with no need for waders / boots . there are toilets on site , as well as a small cafe for those feeling hungary . theres no race entry fee , although booking is advisable , all competitors will need third party liability insurance , either through the mya or individual cover . hope to see you all here ? jon portsmouth model yacht racing club
