Title: 1/192nd scale aircraft
Post by: Kevin R on September 06, 2013, 05:25:47 pm
Hi All
Can anyone point me in the right directions to locating 1/192nd scale harriers and sea king helicopters for HMS Illustrious aircraft carrier as I am finding it hard to locate any.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated

Kevin

Hi Kevin.
think what you have is the kit by Midway models of leicester. Dont know if they are still around but you can have a look  about the net  see if an address pops up.  if they are not there try some of these .

1:200 is near enough, probably a more common scale, but unusual enough to be hideously expensive if you want a flight deck full of them.
Might be a case of having to learn how to produce your own kit and do your own resin casting, but there might be a niche market there.

Hi guys
Thanks for the replies, have already looked at a couple of these sites! I may have to make my own Sea King  Choppers, already have  a few harriers to get started.

Thanks again
