Title: Solent Class Lifeboat Props
Post by: Keith-R on October 12, 2013, 10:35:52 am
Good morning all,

I have manage to purchase a full set on plans and templates for a Solent Class Lifeboat, a build that I have longed to build but could never get hold of the kit.

Now I have somewhere to start I would like to know whether the 12V Landrover Heater Fan Motors I have knocking about would be suitable to power this large boat. Also what size props would be best?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Keith

hi  I used 45mm 3 bladed props on mine I did have two 900 size motors in it a little bit over kill but went superbly
but saying that my mate ran two heater motors in his and it was fine I also run one heater motor in a large tug which works fine
although that has a 65mm prop

cheers
