Title: Super Storm ?
Post by: HawkEye on October 27, 2013, 09:34:28 pm
It appears that things are going to get rather breezy in the south tonight, pressure is dropping rapidly judging by this bouy off Cornwall

Some weather information with regular updates can be found here -

So as we're in for what Sky News are classing a Super Storm, spare a thought for the brave RNLI crew searching for a teenager swept into the sea at Newhaven.

And there were apparently swimmers on the beach at Brighton earlier this morning. The worst of the storm may have passed Brighton by then but, especially given what happened here last night, you have to question their sanity.

But it's their right to act like numpties. This is what the emergency services practice for. %)     They're trying to refill the Gene pool.

With the exception of the unfortunates who were seriously damaged  by the storm  what a Media Pantomime. Lets  face it if it had not been  forecast for the southeast as well it would not have had half the hype ,BBC running around in a chopper showing  what?  no trains running Wow . Some Idiot who left a Marquee up and  LONDON got in on the act a Bloody crane  got blown over Hmmm!,though  maybe Cameron got the SAS to arrange that just to make sure

...right, swept up the two leaves that blew into the drive. Was worried I might not get the car out, hopefully we don't get any of those big 1/2 " snow drifts, would really impede the 5 minute walk to work. {-)
